Duties and Responsibilities Accounting, Bookkeeping, Procurement (70%) Day-to-day recording of financial transactions All aspects of AR, AP, invoicing, and billing Reconciliation of bank transactions and various other accounts General ledger maintenance Monthly interrelated accounts reconciliation Preparation of staff payroll and monthly/yearly remittance/reporting utilizing wage point Process payments and prepare year-end tax slips to subcontractors Preparation and tracking of all customer invoicing and payment applications Preparation and tracking of all inventory records Play a key role for inventory counts and COGS analysis Processing of insurance payments Reconciliation for HST filing Preparation of year-end adjustment and financial package for external accountants Preparation of financial reports as required by management and other stakeholders Assist in the procurement of products, materials, equipment, and services Negotiate terms of supplier agreements to ensure best value for the company Any other finance, accounting or procurement tasks assigned by the Head of Operations, CFO or CEO Payroll, Human Resources, Administration (30%)
· Ensure new hire onboarding documentation is collected for payroll
· Provide administrative support for payroll, time management, time off requests, etc.

· Apply, obtain, and update security clearance certificates for employees as required
· Support the hiring manager in proactive recruitment initiatives
· Facilitate the new hire onboarding process
· Complete background checks for new hires when required
· Setup new hire onboarding paperwork
· Respond to employee requests in a timely manner
· Escalate requests and/or concerns to the appropriate senior leader
· Support and participate in company culture initiatives across the organization
· Provide a positive and support working environment for employees
· Work with employees to help educate them on relevant employment policies, programs and practices
· Manage mandatory new hire training programs (i.e.

OSG, MOL Safety Training, etc.)
· Facilitate the enrollment of employees onto various online learning platforms
· Keep employee training records up to date
· Maintain great teamwork and collaboration with other employees and departments
· Any other tasks, duties, or projects assigned by the senior leadership team Team and Reporting Structure This position reports directly to the company’s Senior Director and/or Head of Operations.

The role operates in the Human Resources division of the company.

Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned by the Head of Operations and/or Chief Executive Officer.

Work Format
· 80% onsite in office
· 20% remote work Compensation & Benefits
· Annual salary range $55,000 to $60,000

· Discounted monthly fitness membership QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Professional Experience and Education Minimum 3 to 5 years accounting and bookkeeping experience Minimum 2 years QuickBooks and ERP experience Must have post-secondary education in accounting Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to exercise flexibility, initiative, good judgement, and discretion Strong attention to detail with an excellent work ethic Exceptional organizational and time management skills Responsible, independent, self-managed Proficient in Microsoft Excel (mandatory) Knowledge of EDI via FTP preferred Additional Skillsets and Experience (preferred):
· 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience working in Human Resources
· Certified Human Resources Professional
– CHRP/CHRL (major asset)
· Experience understanding employment law in Ontario
· Knowledge and understanding of the Employment Standards Act in Ontario
· Strong leadership competence and a demonstrated ability to collaborate leaders and managers in a variety of work-related situations
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy of information
