Associate, Finance Business Partner

We are presently recruiting for anAssociateto join the Management Analytics group in our Finance department.

Within the Finance Business Partner team, theAssociatewill be in a key supporting role, providing input to reporting analytics for internal business partners and Senior Management across the Total Fund.

TheAssociatewill additionally be responsible for conducting exploratory analysis and research related to total Fund investment activities as well as creating reports, validating numbers, and providing analysis that delivers meaningful insights on Total Fund performance.

Role-Specific Accountabilities: Work in a team to produce exploratory total Fund and Investment Department analysis to communicate the “story” behind the numbers to Senior Management.

Develop compelling materials to facilitate discussions including creatively conveying data and analysis with charts, tables and other visuals in pre-read and presentation material.

Support and work on new analytics initiatives to provide insightful recommendations to internal business partners and Senior Management.

Develop and foster effective working relationships within the team and across groups at CPP Investments.

Manage your own time to perform time-sensitive requests accurately and on time.

Address ad-hoc business requests to facilitate CPP Investments-wide discussions and analyses.

Enhance data collection procedures to automate data collection from disparate databases and improve processes as well as building effective analytics systems.

Qualifications If you possess the following, we’d like to hear from you: Completion or progress towards business or finance-related graduate degrees or professional designations considered to be assets (i.e.

CA, CFA, MBA, FRM, CIPM).

Minimum 5 years of professional experience in financial analysis/research or consulting.

Superior analytical skills and strong attention to detail will be necessary to perform this role.

Intellectually curious, self-motivated, flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and new challenges.

Business Analysis Skills preferred: Strong problem-solving, ability to think critically and creatively, and exercise good judgment.

Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and work in a high-performing culture, under pressure and with time-sensitive deadlines.

Ability to manage timelines effectively for smaller projects (3 people), and coordinate review processes with efficient version control and delivery.

Proven experience in SQL, Python, Tableau and/or Power BI is considered an asset Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word) Proven ability to work independently as well as to perform effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
