To learn more about CIBC, please visit Job Description What You’ll Be Doing Capital Markets and Direct Financial Services provides integrated services and products aimed at serving investors as well as corporate and institutional clients globally.

The Capital Markets business is a recognized leader in the industry specializing in investment banking advisory services, corporate lending and research.

In addition, the Direct Financial Services arm provides alternate services and solutions such as direct investing, direct banking and unique international payment solutions.

The successful applicant will provide business management support to Global Corporate Banking and Global Investment Banking.

The role will act as a liaison between the businesses (front office) and the rest of the Bank to ensure all business strategies, initiatives, projects, operational issues are addressed and resolved.

How You’ll Succeed Strategy & Business Execution Support: Support and contribute to strategic business planning, working with the Business Manager Project management of new initiatives including Change Initiative Risk Assessments (CIRAs) and other process improvements Work with other Business Managers and Finance Business Support to develop: Senior Management, Town Hall and Board Presentations Presentations for onsite/offsite conferences Ad-hoc presentations Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work alongside the business, including senior management, on a day-to-day basis Partner with infrastructure groups to implement and execute strategic business plans Build and maintain effective relationships with partners in Operations, Finance, Risk Management, Technology, Legal, Compliance and other corporate governance groups as required to help address and resolve day-to-day issues as well as deliver on business initiatives Governance & Compliance: Coordinate and attest to CIBC governance functions – user access, contracts, etc.

Records Management: Support the Senior Records Officer for Global Investment Banking and Global Corporate Canada ensuring compliance with CIBC’s Records Management Policy Coordinate and respond to auditor/regulator requests, findings and reports Act as a compliance liaison (i.e.

ensuring adherence to private side regulatory requirements) Coordinate update of Front Office Policies & Procedures Develop and implement improvements to internal procedures and practices including effective and documented internal control structure as evidenced by policies and procedures specific to the individual business activities Administration: Oversight of employee organization charts and floor plans Oversight of deal file maintenance and records management processes Oversight of employee onboarding and off boarding, including, logistical coordination of Interns, Co-Ops and Graduate Rotation Programs Event, business and executive meeting coordination and content generation Other Responsibilities: Accessible to the business throughout the day to actively respond to information requirements/requests and resolve day-to-day issues Act on ad-hoc requests/projects as required Authorities/Decision Rights: This position must protect and maintain the confidentiality of information and initiatives As a key contributor to the business unit this position has the authority to change business processes in order to enhance operation efficiency and effectiveness Who You Are Knowledge of capital markets products (products and processes) with a minimum of 2-3 years of work experience in capital markets or a corporate development function Undergraduate degree; MBA/CFA/CA is an asset Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Strong problem solving, analytical, judgment and change-implementation capabilities Excellent oral and written communications skills Strong multitasking and time-management skills
