To learn more about CIBC, please visit Job Description What You’ll Be Doing The Capital Markets arm of CIBC provides integrated capital markets products, investment banking advisory services, corporate lending and top-ranked research to corporate, government, institutional and retail clients around the world.

CIBC Capital Markets consists of three lines of business; Global Markets, Global Investment Banking and Corporate Banking.

CIBC’s Global Markets business focuses on delivering expert financial and economic analysis and savvy deal-making capabilities to clients in Canada and around the world.

The Global Markets team supports fixed income, foreign exchange, commodities, derivatives, equities and growth markets and is focused on building a strong, innovative relationship-oriented bank.

Within the Global Markets division, the Alternate Solutions Group (ASG) leverages capital markets trading and technology and is responsible for deploying and executing on a number of market-leading payment and money movement solutions.

We are looking for high-energy individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit.

The incumbent’s mandate is to identify new client opportunities and incrementally develop new business relationships in order to increase the distribution of ASG products.

The incumbent will support the distribution of ASG products across a number of client types and industry verticals.

The role also requires a strong internal partnership with ASG product specialists and technology teams.

The successful candidate will be required to draft comprehensive proposals using advanced frameworks in PowerPoint, Excel and Word.

The mandate includes the creation of pitch books, various marketing materials / digital media and comprehensive RFP documents that aid in securing new business.

How You’ll Succeed Reporting to the Executive Director & Head of Sales, Alternate Solutions Group, you will be accountable for the following core responsibilities: Identify and develop new client relationships with a focus on B2B sales of ASG products across a variety of industry verticals and client types Efficiently navigate through organizations to identify key decision makers and identify specific applications where ASG products can add-value Maintain and keep current all client information databases, initiate calls and meetings Preparing marketing materials and presentations Preparing client presentations (including modeling the economic benefits of the transaction) Supporting the client pitch and deal execution efforts Conduct comprehensive industry research and analysis to assist in the identification and/or analysis of business trends and opportunities Who You Are You have a high level of attention to detail You have excellent analytical and intellectual capabilities; the ability to draft comprehensive proposals using advanced frameworks in PowerPoint, Excel and Word You have the ability to think strategically and conceptualize ideas in an entrepreneurial manner You have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, results oriented work environment with excellent time management skills You have exceptional communication skills sufficient to provide detailed explanation of factual and conceptual information and ideas You are a client service driven individual that consistently delivers results and drives towards goals with energy and enthusiasm You have the ability to acquire knowledge quickly to demonstrate competence and add value to the transaction and client relationships You have the ability to prioritize tasks and create a focus around what is strategically important, is approachable, viewed as a partner and eager to assist in all aspects of the business You have exceptional communication and organizational skills You have a Undergraduate University degree; an MBA, CFA or equivalent professional degree would be considered an asset You have an understanding and awareness of FX, Payments and FinTech What CIBC Offers At CIBC, our people are our greatest asset.
