– TOKO PSYCH REHAB Status :CASUAL Position Summary We are currently seeking multiple Mental Health & Substance Use (MHSU) Support Workers to join our team in Kamloops This is a casual position that rotates between the sites of South Hills, Hilltop House and Apple Lane Mental Health.

The MHSU Support Worker is a valuable member of the multi-disciplinary team.

Some of their duties include observing, supporting, assessing, reporting the status of clients.

The MHSU Support Worker provides life skills training, coaching, advocacy, information, and support services for clients experiencing mental health, behavioural and developmental problems in accordance with an established plan of care.

A key focus is on facilitating client empowerment and competency development within the four domains of psychosocial rehabilitation (personal life, education, leisure, and work).

Day and night shifts are required of this position with shift times of 08:00 to 20:00 and 20:00 to 08:00.

• Grade 12
• Diploma in a field relevant to the position (ie: community social services, rehabilitation)
• Two years recent related experience working with individuals experiencing mental health and substance use problems; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• Food Safe Certificate
• Current valid BC Driver’s License
