To learn more about CIBC, please visit CIBC.com Job Description What You’ll Be Doing You’ll work on the Frontline Technology Strategy User Experience (UX) team which is responsible for conceptualizing and designing UX for employee-facing software applications.

You’ll partner with other units across the bank to build complicated banking systems, impacting 5,000 employees who use these systems daily.

You’ll lead projects, delivering an excellent end-user experience by executing user-centred design thinking and methodologies, while integrating corporate standards.

You’ll effectively convey UX designs, to fix a defect or build new functionality, to both development staff, for implementation; and, senior executives, for sponsorship support.

Key Accountabilities Help d evelop user interface designs, artefacts, and project deliverables .

Provide design and client experience thought leadership.

Develop concept sketches, high fidelity wireframes, graphical assets, prototypes and interactive mock-ups.

Promote both user
– centred and client
– centred designs to project peers in a collaborative way.

Present concepts and designs to peers and executive leaders, and be able to give and receive feedback Continue to improve the overall user experience within the Frontline UX properties Cross-functional Relationships This job collaborates with peers both inside and outside the work unit when identifying, discussing and resolving business issues related to the work area.

Work collaboratively with content creators and other designers.

Work closely with the visual designers on the team in order to produce working final deliverables for each project as needed.

Interacts with peers in the other User Experience groups for consistency of design standards and knowledge sharing of best practices.

Engages with and contributes to a project team made up of Business, Development, Editorial and Analyst specialists, and occasionally third parties and stakeholders/clients.

Knowledge and Skills Successful candidates must exhibit CIBC’s values of trust, team work, and accountability 8 years’ experience in user interface and application design Must have education in Human Factors, Human Computer Interaction or equivalent experience A proven track record of launched products that delight, innovate and scale Mastery of Figma, Sketch, Invision, and other tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop Mastery of prototyping tools such as Figma and Invision Understanding of user-centered design principles, familiarity with usability research methods.

Ability to handle multiple design projects concurrently Must be able to clearly document designs, explain design concepts to non-designers and effectively communicate project and design rationale to both designers and non-designers at all levels of the organization Experience working in an Agile development environment Curiosity and love for all things design Job Challenges/Complexities Making timely decisions in response to changing business needs Handling high work volumes, tight deadlines and a stressful working environment Interpreting client needs and balancing the requirements of multiple stakeholders Taking on one or more roles on a project while overseeing a project team Working in an extremely fast-paced environment What CIBC Offers At CIBC, our people are our greatest asset.
