About the Opportunity Briere Production Group is seeking a Warehousing & Audio/Visual Manager to join our team in Burnaby, BC, on a full-time basis.

This position is responsible for ensuring the success of our warehouse operations.

The successful candidate will be coordinating and managing the technical prep and de-prep of our equipment while collaborating with the Operations department with thorough & detailed preparation and information regarding all warehouse operations and personnel.

Qualified candidates will have an understanding of audio, lighting, video, and staging in concert, theatre, and television practices along with advanced knowledge of audio systems such as d&b audiotechnik.

The primary responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to: Developing weekly schedules for the shop hands and show prep techs Working with Operations to identify, train and manage warehouse personnel Participating in performance reviews with the Operations Manager of shop leads Training staff and monitoring their performance and progress daily, tracking attendance and time off requests to ensure there are no conflicts, monitoring and adjusting work schedules of staff as needed Managing all show preparations and truck packs in partnership with Production Manager and show techs Defining the operational flow, facility layout, space, staff, concept of operations, and improvements in productivity, accuracy, and capacity Being responsible for safe and consistent operation of all equipment Maintaining warehouse inventory, its whereabouts, and condition, ensuring equipment is returned in full and in good condition Overseeing maintenance of audio, lighting, backline, and video systems, advising on repairs when needed Recommending measures to improve methods and processes, work performance, and quality control Ensuring timely, daily opening and closing of the warehouse Ensuring the warehouse is kept in a neat and organized condition at the end of each day Being responsible for fleet maintenance and appearance (clean and working) Verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments, preparing items for shipment, ensuring timely shipping of orders, preparing quotes Maintaining required administrative organization and record keeping, including inventory and maintenance logs In order to qualify for this role, you will have at least 3-4 years of experience in warehousing or making minor repairs on electronic audio, lighting, video, and rigging equipment, with forklift certification, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50lbs.

Please note that candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.

The following assets are preferred, but not required: Proficiency with MS Excel and Outlook (email) Experience in Materials Repair Operations of equipment and fleet requirements Level 1 First Aid, Cardiac Arrest Management Counterbalanced Forklift Certification Fall Protection Training, Performing Arts Supervisor Safety, WHMIS Live Performance Electrical (Training) As our ideal candidate, you have the ability to work well under pressure, and as part of a team or individually.
