Technical Sales Specialist

Chess Electric

This is a Full-time position in Hamilton, ON posted February 7, 2019.

Chess Electric, a manufacturers representative for GE Multilin, Gentec, Kocos and other Power System related products is currently seeking a technically sound sales representative to join our team.

This position requires a self motivated sales leader with a strong electrical background and solid understanding of protection and Control, Power Transformers, Switchgear and Power Quality who can work independently with direct responsibility and accountability for specifying and selling the products we represent throughout the territory (Golden Horseshoe and S.W. Ontario).

Qualifications:

– Excellent communicator and presenter

– Sales Leader with solid understanding of the sales process and contract negotiations

– Technical background, Electrical College or University Degree

– 3-5 years of sales experience in Power Systems.

– Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with our clients and suppliers

– Strong Computer Skills including use of CRM system

– Excellent organizational skills and time management

– Results driven

– Valid Drivers License and willingness to travel throughout assigned territory

Responsibilities:

– Build, prioritize and maintain relationships with key clients within the assigned territory (Consultants, Utilities, End User, OEM, EPCM)

– Prepare and execute a business development plan

– Actively develop and pursue opportunties for the products (GE Multilin, Gentec, Kocos) and services from the manufacturers we represent for the province of Ontario

– Build and maintain networks presence in the industry through participations in events and associations

– Prepare, coordinate and present proposals / solutions

– Use and maintain CRM system to support customer and supplier relationships, new business development

– Acquire new clients by identifying, qualifying and delivering projects through proposal and contract stages

– Work with clients and suppliers to understand all of the clients needs and provide the best solution for their application, budget and timeline

– Participate in monthly sales meetings and training

Chess Electric offer competitive compensation and benefits including quarterly commissions / Bonus on Sales, Health and Dental Benefits, Retirement Plan.

Full time Outside sales Position: $55K to $80K Plus commissions / Bonus
