As a member of the health care team, the Genetic Counsellor contributes to the development and coordination of all activities of the Genetics program, providing genetic assessment and counselling for patients and their families. In addition, the Genetic Counsellor assists the Clinical Geneticist in case preparation and follow-up, participates in mentoring and teaching learners, and engage in research.
