Accountable to the Clinical Manager, the Occupational Therapist (OT) is responsible to work with the interdisciplinary team to support and promote quality care delivery through the outpatient program collaborating with satellite clinics and community programs to support the needs of the patient population. The Occupational Therapist will apply their clinical expertise of pediatric disease processes and related complex medical and surgical conditions. They will provide comprehensive care and follow-up to children to maximize their occupational performance (self-care, productivity and leisure) and recovery in order to facilitate discharge, community integration and functional adaptation. As a member of the multidisciplinary health care team, the role entails close liaison/communication with team members including the facilitation and coordination of community services and supports. This position involves working with the Complex Care pediatric population and their families in Tertiary Ambulatory setting (MUMC) and. The role also includes cross coverage for other units and Ambulatory clinics within McMaster Children’s hospital as needed.
Salary: 37-47.44
