Job title :PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR Community :PRINCETON Facility :PRINCETON GENERAL HSPTL Status :CASUAL Position Summary We’re looking for a Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) who has emergency or rural nursing experience, to join our team in Princeton The Princeton General Hospital is a Level 1 Community Hospital in the Okanagan health service area.

Located south west of Penticton, the hospital offers services including acute care, laboratory, and 24 hour emergency.

The PCC is responsible for the coordination of day to day operations and quality patient care within emergency department.

This position supports the seamless movement of patients through the healthcare system and in accessing appropriate resources.

The PCC supervises and serves as a role model and a resource to staff for clinical decision-making, clinical assessments of patients and in the counseling and education of families.

Responsibilities include reviewing, analysing and making recommendations on the development of administrative systems such as policies, procedures and standards of patient care, adequate staffing levels, and a continuous quality improvement environment.

The successful candidate will liaise with the interdisciplinary team for identification, coordination and efficient utilization of resources as well as plan for staff educational needs.

This is a casual position that covers days between 09:00 to 17:52.

Qualifications
• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

• Advanced preparation in the emergency clinical specialty area, three years of recent related clinical experience in the emergency environment and two years recent supervisory and teaching experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

• Current CPR certification required.
