The Echocardiography Technologist performs Echocardiograms on both inpatients and outpatients. Duties include: performing M-mode, 2-D, Doppler and color flow echocardiograms in accordance with hospital procedure; interpreting
echocardiograms; routine maintenance of equipment; maintaining up to date departmental records and files; assisting physicians with trans esophageal echocardiograms; performing dobutamine stress echocardiography and treadmill
echocardiography tests; writing preliminary reports for cardiologists interpreting echocardiograms; and other duties as may be assigned.
