The Registered Practical Nurse provides nursing care to support the pre-transplant phase of care delivery for patients receiving a stem cell transplant. This includes supporting the donor search process by conducting donor assessments, health history taking, coordinating blood specimen collection for HLA typing and other tests, documentation and data management, and other nursing care to support the continuity of care for transplant donors and recipients.
