Unit Summary

The Population Health Research Institute (PHRI), a joint institute of Hamilton Health Sciences and McMaster University, with over 300 employees working directly with 60 researchers. PHRI conducts clinical research internationally in 101 countries and is a world leader in large, global health and population and health outcomes research. Our capacity to conduct multiple international studies concurrently, with tens of thousands of participants in each, is a capability very few organizations in the world can match.

Position Summary

The Senior Solutions Developer has vast experience and knowledge with projects related to various clinical trials, understanding the different trial designs and their implications in designing computer systems. They have a good understanding of blinded clinical trial concepts including randomization, blinding data, unblinding data, drug logistics and inventory management, and has the ability to implement these concepts in a computer system.

The Senior Solutions Developer is accountable for everything that a solutions developer is as well as contributing to the creation and maintenance of quality documentation practices that promote accountability of all work completed by the ICT Solutions Team.

Schedule Work Hours

Monday to Friday – 37.5 hours/week.

Qualifications

1. University Degree or College Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in a related field of study 6+ years of related experience
2. ITIL Foundations Certification (Preferred – required within 12 months of employment)
3.Knowledge and skills in information technology related to service delivery on interpersonal, conceptual, and technical levels.
4. Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) methodologies, tools, and guidance
5. ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) Framework of Best Practices
