Diagnostic Services supports a high volume of diverse adult and pediatric patients and families, providing service within Radiology, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, PET, Ultrasound and interventional. Most areas within this unit function 24 hours per day, seven days per week.
As a member of a Multidisciplinary Health Care team, co-ordinates, performs and evaluates Diagnostic services examinations, within the specific modalities and disciplines. Guides and directs clinical and technical associates and students in a teaching and research environment and provides patient care within the core values of respect, caring innovation and accountability. Rotation through other modalities and sites base on qualifications and unit requirements may be required.
Days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, stand-by (call-back) as required
1. Graduate of an accredited training program in Ultrasonography.
2. Current registration with Sonography Canada required.
3. Current BCLS registration.
4. Demonstrated ability to work responsibly in a team environment.
5. Demonstrated effective communication, organization and interpersonal skills.
6. Effective problem solving skills, critical thinking and the ability to prioritize in a fast paced clinical environment.
7. Evidence of participation in on going education & professional development.
8. Member in good standing with CMRTO.
9. IPS certificate preferred.
10. MSK certification as asset.
11. Vascular certification preferred
