Bilingual-Consultant Payroll


This is a Contract position in Hamilton, ON posted June 4, 2021.

Job purpose The Payroll Consultant is responsible for providing support to the Human Resource Outsourcing (HRO) implementation team (implementation specialist and consultants, leaders and clients) on all elements of Canadian Federal and Provincial legislation including consultation on multi-jurisdictional requirements and supporting the evolution of our clients business to align to a fully compliant end to end solution.

In addition, the Payroll Compliance Consultant is responsible for all aspects of the Quality control programs in place for the implementation resources in Payroll, Time and HR functions.

Duties and responsibilities Provide accurate and detailed information on all elements of Canadian Federal and Provincial legislation including recommendations to address multidimensional, highly complex situations Perform overall health check of account compared to standard HROHRO implementation processes Assist with knowledge transfer and education to Associates with respect to existing and new processes and compliance requirements (internal and external) Provide regular training to associates including overviews of new legislation and refreshers on how to address common compliance issues presented during the implementation cycle Responsible for the development, maintenance and execution of the Quality control programs utilized by the key project resources to deliver standardized and compliant based implementation Identify, recommend, or refer any issues or opportunities which arise from client queries, to the internal leadership team Ability to work independently while demonstrating resourcefulness in the use of available tools and support resources Commitment towards continuous improvement and a proactive approach towards personal development Mastery of both verbal and written communications in both English and French Qualifications Ateast 5 years’ experience in payroll function within multijurisdictional operation Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills oral and written Strong planning and organizing skills, and ability to multi-task Ability to adapt to change Aptitude with using computerized and/or web-based products/services Experience with developing and implementing payroll programs Bilingual French, English Education Post-secondary education or equivalent business experience Must have PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) or CPM (Certified Payroll Manager) designation from the Canadian Payroll Association or in progress Experience Experience client-facing/client service environment Working knowledge of ADP products an asset or other payroll programs With Outsourced solutions and functions Explore our COVID-19 page to understand how ADP is approaching safety, travel, the hiring interview process, and more.
