Human Resources Generalist

Cargojet Airways Ltd.

This is a Contract position in Hamilton, ON posted September 15, 2022.

Primary Objective of the Position: The successful candidate will be responsible for providing end-to-end HR support to assigned stations.

Essential Position Functions: Assist with recruitment support including job postings, conducting background checks, resume screening, phone screens, set up interviews, exit interviews Assist with employee onboarding and orientation: refine materials, build packages and participate in onboarding meetings Assist with the timely and accurate administration of new hires, pay, and personnel changes Adhere to company and legislated confidentiality and privacy policies Develop metrics and provide reporting and analysis as required (i.e., headcount, turnover, demographics; by consolidating data from different platforms into meaningful dashboards and presentations; provide analysis to support new initiatives and ongoing projects) Assist with compiling the requisite data for statutory reports and surveys Coordinate any health and safety requirements and participate within the JHSC to ensure consistency Implement and administer employee policies and promote positive employee relations Assist with ongoing document management including filing and preparing for company audits Perform other related duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: Minimum 5 years’ experience in HR functions Post-secondary education in HR, preferably CHRP/CHRL certified Ability to handle a large volume of work and competing priorities with minimal supervision Proficient in using standard functions in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Exceptional judgment and discretion in managing highly sensitive and confidential information A quick thinker who brings a positive and high-energy approach to getting things done Strong organizational and administrative skills; attention to detail is a critical part of this role Ability to work both independently and in a team environment Maintain efficient office procedures and a system for keeping track of multiple, competing priorities.
