General Laborer

We are looking for a General Laborer to join our team in Hamilton.

Why Sanimax

  • 22.35$/hour starting rate. 23.85$ after probation
  • Full-time (8.5 hours/day, 42.5 hours/week) and permanent position
  • Evening Shift: 11h00-20h00

Position overview:

The General Laborer is responsible for operating all of the grease processing equipment at the Hamilton location. 


  • Plan, analyze and schedule the outgoing product
  • Ensure the constant flow of grease production
  • Ensure materials coming in and out balance the workflow – also includes documenting any deviations
  • Hot Tank operation – includes operating the Hot Tank control panel to pump heated product into the decanting tanks
  • Boiler operation – includes operating of 2 steam boilers, startup and shutdown of the boiler and the maintenance of boiler logbooks
  • Decanting and pumping product to shipping tanks
  • Maintaining all paperwork and documentation involved in the decanting process
  • Monitoring wastewater levels and water treatment operation when required
  • General housekeeping of centre bay including sweeping, soap foaming, pressure washing
  • Assist other departments as needed- includes but is not limited to assisting general helpers, shunting trucks, operating forklifts, loading grease tankers, unloading grease trucks, operating vacuum tankers.

Requirements :

  • Secondary school diploma
  • Available on weekends if needed
  • Good physical condition
  • Technical knowledge
