The Island Health Department of Laboratory and Imaging Medicine is seeking a full time General Radiologist for Comox Valley Hospital.
This new facility opened in the fall of 2017 and medical Imaging services at include: general x-ray, two fixed MRI, on-site CT, fluoroscopy, mammography, ultrasound and interventional procedures, all within a fully functional PACS environment.
Additionally, at the Comox Valley Hospital, there is nuclear medicine service.
Eligible candidates must hold Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in Radiology and be eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC.
The position includes CT, MRI, US, DR, Fluoroscopy procedures, breast imaging, and basic non-vascular interventional procedures.
The successful candidate may elect to reside in either Campbell River or Comox.
Start date: as soon as possible Community: Located in the north central region of Vancouver Island the seaside Town of Comox, along with the neighbouring communities of Courtenay and Cumberland, comprises one of the fastest growing areas on the island.
The Comox Valley, home to Vancouver Island’s pre-eminent ski resort of Mt.
Washington, is also the gateway to Strathcona Park and the Desolation Sound group of Islands.

May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidy agreement including: Recruitment Incentive
– $10,000; Relocation Costs Reimbursement – up to maximum of $15,000; Fee Premium; Retention Flat Fee; Rural CME starting at $3,000/annum in years 3 & 4 in the community to a maximum of $6,000/annum after 4 years.
