Managing Agile Coach II The key objectives of this role include the following: Acting as an ”Agile Captain” and as a People Leader, you will mentor and lead teams of Scrum Masters and/or Agile Coaches.

Provide hands-on support and guidance to specialized Agile teams up to the executive level.

Be a thought leader and foremost authority on the Agile methodology.

That depth of knowledge combined with your passion for relationship building will inform your customized coaching plans that assess the capabilities and capacities of highly specialized disciplines within TD and their respective teams.

Think like a customer to develop smarter, more adaptable Agile product roadmaps that optimize resources and ensure more efficient and effective deliverables.

Most of all, your foremost goal is to render your own role on each team obsolete.

Job Description Leads a high performing team of Scrum Masters and/or Agile Coach Is; provide on-going feedback and performance reviews, coaches and develops employees and ensures performance management activities are undertaken and completed for all employees Includes direct support of work mobilization activities (e.g., road map development, functional decomposition) Ability and responsibility to recognize different Agile approaches / methodologies and align to the TD standard and be held accountable Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as required Resolves most unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the business Offers advice, guidance and training on how to transition to and operate in scaled execution environments across all levels Leads the process of setting performance objectives for the Agile team through coaching plans; track, monitor and effectively address and/or reward performance in a timely manner Performs training (e.g., towards IT & business leadership, or for Product Owners/Leads) for Agile teams, execution Leadership and Executives Supports and develops the Scrum Masters to enhance their effectiveness and capability Shares knowledge, information, skills, and subject matter expertise among the Agile team
– or relevant stakeholders
– and ensure the timely communication of issues and encourage good working relationships with other functions and teams Supports an environment where Agile team freely escalates business challenges; facilitate change through positive reinforcement Monitors execution health continuously and engages stakeholders as required if project health changes Supports business and technology ownership to ensure their ability / agile competencies to complete key activities required for agile delivery, including roadmap and story map development and how those activities translate to traditional approaches such as functional decomposition and architectural alignment Requirements Undergraduate or post graduate degree Certified Scrum Master and/or Certified Scrum Master in scaled Agile framework (e.g., SAFE) and 7 years of Scrum Master experience Typically requires 10 years of Agile experience Experience coaching in distributed Agile execution environments 7 yrs.
