Software Development | Business Information | Full Time Requisition : 2022-03.018 METOS Canada, a partnership between Glacier FarmMedia and Pessl Instruments GmbH, Austria.

We market, distribute, and support agricultural Internet-of-Things (IoT) including a variety of wireless sensors and devices with applications that include remote field monitoring, weather monitoring and forecasting, water management, disease modelling, insect monitoring, nutrition management and soil sampling.

You are: Physically able to carry weather stations and other IoT devices into fields and install stations and inground probes.

Well-organized and process oriented.

Technically adept and quick to learn new hardware, software, and sensor configurations.

Continually demonstrating a positive “can do” attitude.

RESPONSIBILITIES to METOS Canada include: Installing IoT weather stations and devices at various locations, primarily in Manitoba.

Pre-testing equipment.

Monitoring stations, SIM cards, and call/ticket logs to spot trends and proactively support resellers and customers.

Troubleshooting and managing warranty issues and related logistics, minimizing inconvenience for the customer (grower) and the partner / dealer.

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge Completed High school, enrolled in post secondary school.

Solid organizational, interpersonal, analytical and communication skills Ability to work flexible hours and travel to customers locations.

Valid driver’s license with a reliable vehicle is required This is a one season opportunity, with the possibility of seasonal or permanent employment in the future.
