November 2021) opportunity for a Simulation Specialist in the Sunnybrook Canadian Simulation Centre department at our Bayview Campus.

Hours of Work: As per schedule; flexibility required Summary of Duties: Maintain Simulation Centre as a clean, safe, and operational facility, ensuring adherence to SCSC policies and guidelines.

Set up and clean up rooms/spaces for training sessions and meetings Support the strategic direction of the SCSC Maintain the equipment of the Centre (value >$1M) Innovate simulation equipment/environment to compliment simulation curriculum Responsible for simulation A/V and technical support and expertise Responsible for ensuring all equipment is in working order and supply stock is maintained, including ordering and purchasing coordination, working with vendors and biomedical engineering Works collaboratively with the educators, facilitators and subject matter experts to operationalize simulation scenarios and curriculum Independently delivers technical aspects of simulation scenarios/curriculum Operate simulation equipment to deliver scenarios Responsible for soliciting/recording/analyzing instructor and student feedback following simulation experiences Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures and practices for the Centre.

Facilitate collaboration among health science programs to optimize technology use.

Responsible for maintaining/creating accurate records and data/metrics of simulation exercises Responsible for maintaining up to date knowledge regarding simulation equipment and technology Collaborates with program staff to identify potential program needs and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications/Skills: Bachelor’s Degree from accredited school
– Education and degree will be verified Experience working troubleshooting A/V equipment and virtual platforms, including Zoom Experience in technical project management Experience in programming, editing programs and authoring tools, including iMovie Experience in computer programs including word processing, spreadsheets, databases and email.

Knowledge of anatomy and physiology highly desirable Knowledge and understanding of medical terminology and clinical experience highly desirable Education or experience in health care related information technology strongly preferred.
