To learn more about CIBC, please visit Job Description As a Solution Design Director , you will partner with business and technology stakeholders to help define solution options for business ideas prior to inception.

You will primarily be responsible for the creation and rationalization of solutions as well as the communication of the same to both business and technology stakeholders and providing guidance to the delivery teams for its implementation.

In addition, your responsibilities extend to leading the design practice within the team, improving the design process & Artifacts, and providing training & guidance to other members of the team.

Other accountabilities include: creating the solution design for new initiatives and contribute to the overall design strategy of the Alternative Solutions Group and Simplii Financial line of business.

As well as effectively and accurately translating functional and non-functional business requirements into technical solutions.

This includes ensuring alignment of solution designs with low level app designs, and creating reasonable interim solutions of the various phases/workstreams, while considering the desired overall target state outcomes including ease of on-going support.

Additionally, you will be accountable for remediating any design and build issues that may arise.

Direct, motivate, develop and manage performance of the project delivery teams.

Strategic Development & Execution: Build technical solutions that take into account enterprise vision, current state and opportunities to build a future state of Personal Banking Products Technology for our Clients and Frontline.

Analyze the viability of the solution to meet product timelines, budget and quality.

Relationship Management :.

Collaborate with Business and Technology partners to translate requirements to technical designs and act as the lead technical authority.

Collaborative : Work with Business Stakeholders, Architecture, Technology, and Product teams to ensure all aspects of the solution are defined in conjunction with CIBC standards, policies, priorities and best practices.

Strong Communication: Working closely and interacting with business partners and vendors reporting, negotiating and managing services, documenting and presenting ideas and recommendations.

Who You Are You can demonstrate experience in .

A minimum of 5-10 years as a Technical Architect/Consultant .

You have excellent knowledge of various types of technologies, deeply aware of new trends and new industry tech stacks.

You have experience leading technical teams, creating executive decks independently and are well versed at presenting to executives.

Experience working with business and architecture teams to develop and design technology solutions is essential to this role.

Ideally, you have progressed through application development, analysis and design Solid experience with a variety of technologies/frameworks including event-driven architecture, REST APIs, microservice architecture, CI/CD processes, DevOps pipelines, etc.

Product & Domain knowledge Fintech, digital banking, Payments, Foreign Exchange, International Remittance would be a great asset.

You have a degree / diploma in : Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics or Technical discipline; a Master’s degree or a PHD would be an asset You’re driven to succeed .
