LWS – Assistant Store Manager, Sales

The principle purpose of the Assistant Store Manager
– Sales (ASM Sales) is to drive sales and margin in alignment with the financial plan of the retail store by pursuing sales opportunities, developing customer relationships and ultimately closing sales.

The ASM Sales is responsible for delivering and supporting an environment of customer service and sales performance in an assigned area while managing and developing employees and sales interactions.

The ASM Sales will be responsible for managing and providing results that drive overall sales in the following areas: Outside Sales, Installed Sales, SOS, In-Store Pro Services, EPP and Credit.

In addition, the ASM Sales will enable and support a team of individual contributors (including coaching, mentoring and training) and will build a professional sales organization staffed with the best talent available in the market.

Job Requirements Minimum of 3 years previous Retail Management experience leading a sales team Previous experience in the Home Improvement industry or a broad knowledge of the interior/exterior product categories is advantageous Previous experience in recruiting, training, coaching and developing a sales team Functional knowledge of retail merchandising, operations and retail management practices and procedures.

A strong customer service orientation and focus.

Effective organizational, communication (written and oral) and problem solving skills.

Comfortable operating in a fast-paced and ever-changing big box retail environment.

An Associate’s or Bachelor s Degree in Business is preferred Proficient with Microsoft Office, i.e., Word, Excel & Outlook Availability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
