Reporting to the Director of Laboratory Medicine-Rural, the Manager is responsible for creating operational lines of sight that connect to the goals and objectives of the SHA.

The Manager supports strategy through the development and execution of operational and business plans, including cascading, monitoring, reporting, and course correction of same.

The Manager demonstrates strong leadership to enable an innovative and positive working climate and a client-centric culture.

The Manager must work cross functionally within the portfolio and across the organization to support operations.

The Manager will develop partnerships and work closely with system and community partners.

Job Qualifications Required Qualifications Undergraduate degree or diploma in clinical related science or completion of a Medical Laboratory Technology Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Licensed and in good standing with professional association and/or regulatory body, if applicable.Experience:Experience, at an operational level, as a leader who has developed and led innovative planning and programs in a complex, multistakeholder environment.

5 years of experience in a leadership position with progressive advancement, preferably with experience in a clinical laboratory environment.

Valid Class 5 driver’s license.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of legislation and applicable laws.

Knowledge of the healthcare system in Saskatchewan.

Other Information The Manager is accountable for the integrated functions and testing activities for the disciplines within twelve rural locations (direct and indirect), including Fort Qu’Appelle, Indian Head, Wolseley, Grenfell, Balcarres, Montmartre, Broadview, Whitewood, Moosomin, Kipling, Wawota, and Redvers.

The Moosomin & Area Manager ensures compliance with laboratory licensing, regulatory and accreditation requirements, safety and other relevant quality standards.

The disciplines the position will oversee include Biochemistry, Hematology, Transfusion Medicine and Specimen Procurement and Management.

The Manager will lead and participate in provincial initiatives and collaboration between the staff, physicians and management of the Saskatchewan Health Authority at all levels of the organization as well as the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency, eHealth and others as required on a number of strategic directions related to Laboratory Medicine connected to the areas operations.

Travel within the province of Saskatchewan is required.
