Manager, Reliability Engineering

This is a Full-time position in Hamilton, ON posted November 21, 2022.

To achieve excellence in physical asset management and improve reliability at its operations, Cameco has formed an asset management and reliability centre of excellence to develop related systems and standards and deliver specialised services to the organisation.

Reporting to the director, asset management and reliability, this position is responsible for overseeing a team of practitioners delivering several reliability and integrity engineering services to the organisation including: reliability/availability/maintainability (RAM) analysis, maintenance strategy development, critical spares analysis, PM optimisation, repair or replace analysis, facilitation of loss elimination meetings, and root cause analysis of significant asset related losses (e.g., failures).

You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining related business processes and supporting technical standards and procedures, as well as managing supporting enterprise systems, such as the company’s asset performance management (APM).

Although this position is out of the Saskatoon corporate office, occasional travel to various sites may be required.

Requirements of the Position Bachelor’s degree in engineering or applied science; Minimum of 12 years of relevant work experience, preferably in an asset-intensive industry (e.g., mining, oil and gas, etc.); You must have, or be eligible for, registration with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS); Experience with EAM and APM systems; and Assets Certification in any or all of the following: Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCMII), Risk-based Inspection, Root Cause Failure Analysis, Lean, Agile, Six Sigma, Maintenance Management (e.g., PEMAC MMP), Change Management (e.g.

PROSCI); Proficiency with SAP Plant Maintenance (preferably SAP S/4Hana Asset Management), Bentley AssetWise; Experience in digital transformation initiatives, IIoT, and predictive maintenance systems; Excellent communication skills (including public speaking and presentation skills) and change management skills; and We Offer Competitive pay Employee share ownership plan for all employees Deadline for applications is November 17, 2022.
