Apply today to join the team at Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) As the Manager, Utility Plant and Mechanical Systems you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operational management and/or maintenance of designated central steam and/or hot water heating production/distribution Utility Plant(s) including Mechanical Systems for physical plant health site(s) for Vancouver General Hospital in a manner consistent with regulatory requirements and industry best practices ensuring a safe and reliable environment for the delivery of healthcare-related services.

Knowledge & Abilities Demonstrated interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to apply sound management skills in selecting, developing and coaching staff.

Ability to prepare, reports and recommendations to multidisciplinary audiences, and consult individuals internal to the organization.

Demonstrated project management experience.

Ability to use spreadsheet and word processing, applications.

Adaptable and flexible to meet changing priorities and resource constraints.

Knowledge and experience with the operation of air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical and control systems, and human resources management.

Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
