Senior Manager, HRBP


This is a Contract position in Hamilton, ON posted November 23, 2022.

FIRST ONSITE is seeking a Senior Manager of Canadian HR Business Partner Services to lead and oversee the success of the regional HR Business Partners across Canada , delivering on First Onsite’s HR business strategy and vision.

This person will have experience leading HR teams in high-growth, fast-paced operations-based environments.

The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset, a servant leadership style, and a bias for action.

This position requires someone with strong strategic HR knowledge and experience, a growth mindset, excellent interpersonal skills, and experience in effective communication and coaching.

This person should be passionate about and have experience building and leading teams of engaged and empowered employees.

Skills & Abilities At least 10 years of progressive Human Resources experience At least 5 years in a leadership position within Human Resources A passion for creating exceptional workplace cultures and employee experiences Exceptional business acumen and a strategic understanding of how the goals of HR support the success of the business Proven track record of coaching and leading teams and leaders Exceptional communications and relationship skills Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Business, Human Resources, and/or Communications preferred Previous experience using ADP or other HRIS systems Knowledge of federal and relevant state and provincial labour law KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Embody First Onsite’s Core Values of a Sense of Urgency, Gather and Grow Talent, Accountability, Do the Right Thing, and Have Fun.

Partner with the SVP of Human Resources and executive leaders to ensure the execution of an effective and engaging people strategy that supports First Onsite becoming an Employer of Choice.

Responsible for advising on HR Business Partner Services budget needs and proactively managing the value for spend.

Establish and lead strategic human resources and people operations efforts that align with the organization’s culture, objectives, and federal and local laws.

Oversee the team of HR Business Partners in performance, support, and removing obstacles as they provide strategic and day-to-day HR support in the field.

Be a strategic partner to executive teams and HRBP’s in the planning and execution of people strategy, operations and engagement efforts.

Build trust among leaders and provide coaching on a variety of employee management scenarios.

Be a champion of learning and development and partner with leaders and HRBPs to ensure employees are engaged and empowered to grow with First Onsite.

Stay current with current HR trends, laws, compliance, and policies and advise regional business units on these areas, ensuring that the business’s legal, fiduciary, and administrative responsibilities are met.

Assist in measuring and validating HR projects and outcomes as it relates to the success of the business.
