The Mandate We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Operations Manager to join our growing and dynamic team.

Reporting to the Regional Director of Fulfillment, the Senior Operations Manager will manage the new Goodfood Ottawa Fulfillment Centre.

Operations in the FC includes both inventory and fulfillment.

The Senior Operations Manager is ultimately responsible for the safety, quality, and performance of the facility.

Responsibilities Managing the Complete Fulfillment Operations end-to-end Build a cross-functional team to run smooth, one piece flow operations Plan and forecast staffing levels, output capacity, and inventory levels to ensure the facility has what it needs to meet the customer demand Ingrain safety into every process Develop, implement, improve, and maintain systems to manage cost, quality, and throughput of the facility Train and mentor junior team members to help improve their skills and reach their full potential Implement operations best practices (Kaizen, 5S, Lean) Build new tools and upgrade existing ones to help the team improve performance Build a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement down to the lowest level of the team Qualifications/Requirements Bachelors in engineering, operations, business, or related field 5 years experience in operations management Experience managing a team of >100 people Experience managing fulfillment or inventory operations is an asset Project management/implementation experience Leadership, autonomy, initiative, management and planning skills Strong interpersonal skills and team spirit (ability to advise/ train/ coach) Comfortable working in a fast paced and quickly changing environment Fluency in operations best practices required Experience with WMS systems, specifically D365, is an asset Able to work in and out of a refrigerated environment (0-4 degrees) Why Goodfood?
