To learn more about CIBC, please visit CIBC.com Job Description What You’ll Be Doing The Senior Consultant, Application Development is responsible for leading the functional design and development of application systems across all technologies and platforms.

The role provides consultation for senior management on a wide spectrum of existing and emerging infrastructure technologies, translating user requirements to process and data requirements and developing solutions for the business with far-reaching impact.

The Senior Consultant, Application Development provides technical leadership to develop precise steps and processing logic across all platforms, ensuring the designed specifications achieve business needs.

In addition, the role provides comprehensive senior level technical consulting to other IT senior management and senior technical teams.

The role makes technology selection decisions that are often made in situations where business requirements are not completely defined.

How You’ll Succeed Collaborative Development : Convert specifications about business requirements into programming instructions.

Conduct impact analysis, and analysis of organizational needs & goals, for development and implementation of application systems.

Programming Ability: Develop, review, analyze, and modify programming systems, including encoding, testing, debugging and installing for a large-scale system.

Provide support for existing production applications, and recommend opportunities for enhancements.

Code Quality : Contribute to code-review sessions and ensure overall code quality aligns with business and project requirements.

Monitor production and user acceptance testing support to troubleshoot complex problems on applications and technologies.

Who You Are You can demonstrate experience in: This role require previous experience with building new applications or refactoring existing applications More than 5 years’ experience in software development utilizing ASP.net , C# ,JavaScript and SQL .

This role requires effective solution and design expertise needed to solve complex problems.

Ability to dig down independently; Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies, applications and systems; High performance, complex/distributed system design and development; Experience with Azure Cloud, DevOps & Financial services is nice to have.
